The works to this semi detached home involved adding an extension housing a living room off the existing kitchen dining room. This new room provides an additional reception room overlooking the rear garden. Despite being located to the north elevation the client wished to have large areas of glazing to capture the views over the city towards the county Donegal and Derry hills. To compensate for the potential heat loss that a north facing highly glazed extension presents we super insulated the floors, walls, roof and glazing to ensure year round thermal comfortable.
