The Halt Restaurant & Bar County Donegal
The Halt restaurant & bar is housed in a former county Donegal railway building featuring it’s original stone facade arched windows and doors and is complemented by a modern extension featuring a curved roof with coloured cladding panels, housing the kitchen and ancillary functions all set amidst lush greenery and tall trees.

The design successfully combines modern design with the existing historic railway station, resulting in a visually appealing and functional building. The existing natural stone facade aligns well with the modern extension building and the surrounding landscape, giving the overall structure an organic feel that complements its environment. This blend of styles not only enhances the building’s aesthetic appeal but also demonstrates thoughtful design choices that respect both tradition and modernity.

Overall, this building stands out as a well-executed example of harmonizing architectural styles, making it a noteworthy addition to county Donegal’s landscape and one of our favorite commercial projects.
